Though Purdue Mock Trial is a young club on campus, we are building a reputation for hard work, dedication, and community among likeminded Boilermakers
"Through engaging in trial simulations in competition with teams from other institutions, students develop critical thinking and public speaking skills, as well as a knowledge of legal practices and procedures"
- American Mock Trial Association
What is Mock Trial?
Purdue Mock Trial is a dynamic and collaborative organization where students come together to engage in rigorous and rewarding legal simulations. Each year, our team tackles a new case, honing our skills in critical thinking, public speaking, and legal strategy. We compete at various universities, bringing our best to each trial.
Our preparation is multifaceted and thorough. We dedicate time to developing case theories, ensuring that our arguments are robust and compelling. We hold scrimmages, practicing our roles in both prosecution and defense, refining our techniques, and supporting one another to achieve excellence. This teamwork and dedication not only prepare us for competition but also cultivate a strong, supportive community where individual growth is celebrated and encouraged.
